Earlier today 27 people were online!
« on: November 14, 2013, 04:44:59 pm »
Today we hit our most ever people online on this forum, but hardly anyone is talking.

I suspect it's because there's nothing on here people are wanting to respond to right now. We're still a bit bare in terms of discussions (apart from the BID debate) but that doesn't mean you can't start up a chat about something you're particularly interested in on Gloucester Road! Be in parking, wanting to know if there's an update on the Sainsbury's situation etc. This is an opportunity to get us all working together as a community. That's only going to work if people join in. Communication is super important and there's over 400 businesses on Gloucester Road and the surrounding areas. That's a lot of us with questions, problems, suggestions etc :)

If anyone logging in and not posting is struggling with how to do it, please feel free to stop by my shop (midweek mornings, 10.30-midday are usually quietest) and I'll happily show you around.

I'm open Tues-Sat 10am to 6pm at the moment, I'm in the quiet patch between Halloween and Xmas. Not sure how long it'll last but I'd like to make time for anyone struggling.

Obviously you'll have to excuse me if any customers come in, but I have tea and coffee (instant) to keep you company if I'm serving someone :)

At 12.53 am...  I suspect it was a glitch, or spiders.  It certainly wasn't genuine activity.

Have been watching it on and off today, it appears to be cumulative.

27 in 53 minutes would be great, but I fear it was a glitch.   :(

Who is online after midnight?

I think the time stamp is taken from either the first or last visit. I suspect now that it's actually a number in a day, looking at the stats. I'm watching for when it goes over 27 to see what happens.

So today, it says 'Most online today: 18' but over the course of the day, that's said 8, 14, 15, 16 and now 18, along with names of people logging in and numbers of people who've viewed the forum and not logged in, it appears it's not an 'online at the same time' stat but an 'online today' stat.

I could make my life easier and read the help forum for admins, but I can;t face it. I'm procrastinating as it is fiddling around on here when I should be steaming a load of costumes I've washed :)

A day as a rolling 24-hr period, or a day starting at 1 second past midnight?

Oh well.  It's endless fun, conjecturing.  Not many people in the shop on such a cold day, so I get bored easily.   :D
