Who can read these posts? Can anyone see them?
« on: September 21, 2013, 11:42:17 am »
This forum has been designed so it can be used by traders, members of the public, Traders Association Committee members and special guests.

There is a section in this forum for members of the public, and this section can be accessed by any member, and can be viewed by anyone visiting this website. Here anything public can be discussed.

Traders only section

When you first join, you are automatically assumed to be a member of the public. This gives you access to the public message boards. There are special discussion boards that are only visible by traders, and other such members of this forum. In order to access these, you need to have your membership to this forum assigned to the right member type by the administrator. If you are a trader, or GRTA member, please contact admin so your membership on here can be updated to reflect this. You will then have access to the other discussion boards here that are appropriate to you.

Special Guests
Occasionally, special guests might join the forum who are not traders, but have some involvement in that side of Gloucester Road. For example, those involved in the BID scheme, Council, Press or other such people who may need access to some parts of the forum that are not visible to the public. For this, we have a 'special guest' status for those members, so they can view the sections of the forum that are appropriate to them, but not usually visible to the public.

How to have your membership to this forum changed to 'Trader', 'Committee Member' or 'Special Guest' status

If you have just joined and need to access these areas, please contact the board administrator who will take care of this for you. That's all you need to do! There is a private message function on this forum that you can use to do this. At the top of the forum there is a 'My Messages' button. Click on this, then click on 'Send A Message' or 'New Message'. In to 'To' section, start to type 'gloucesterroadtraders' (which is the username of the Administrator) and it will appear below the 'To' box so you can click on it. type the message as you would a normal email.
